Role Models
Many young girls today look up to the likes of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Both celebrities have stated that they are not suitable role models for anyone, but of course, no one listens. Obviously, if you're always in the public eye, you're going to get some attention. Girls (the ones that I associate with) tend to watch E! and that's where they see news reports about how their celebrity role model was lately sent to the slammer for drug possession and reckless driving. This gives them the false impression that it's okay to do drugs and drive recklessly. I bet that if Paris Hilton went out someday sporting nothing but a paper bag there would be legions of followers, and we'd have a whole mass of paper baggers. Of course, this would be good for the environment, but probably bad for the eyes of everyday people such as myself. I myself have never looked up to anyone as a role model. This is because I'd rather try to be my own person and not mold myself to be someone else. Also because in Hollywood nowadays, there isn't anyone worth my respect and admiration. If you're too lazy to read the blog, this just sums it up. *Fame comes with a hefty price tag -- if you're not able to handle the pressures of being famous, then don't be famous.*Life is taken for granted
My cousin who was three months pregnant, recently miscarried. This tragic event is a lesson for all of us to learn. People take life for granted. We should be thankful for every breath that we take, for every happy moment that we get to experience. My unborn nephew will never get to
take his first steps, never get to see his uncle who would have spoiled him, and never have kids of his own. Some people always complain about how bad their life is, well, think about the people in Darfur, or Africa who have lives much worse then yours.
Also, children always whine and complain about how their parents never buy them things. If I were the parent to one of these children, I'd probably slap them across the face. They should think about how some people don't get any presents at all and how they should be grateful that they weren't born in a third-world country.
What I'm trying to get across with this blog is, *think twice before you say your life sucks.*
