The Sims 2 on Mac
So, when I bought my MacBook, I thought that I had to stop playing The Sims 2… but… thanks to Bootcamp, I’m able to play The Sims 2 on my MacBook, without having to buy the Mac versions of the game.
People have said that the game performance isn’t very good on a MacBook, but it runs flawlessly on 1 GB of RAM, a 2.16 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card. I even ran it on the same graphic settings that I did on my gaming PC, and it still ran smoothly. The screen really isn’t a problem either; sure, the MacBook may only have a 13.3-inch screen, but I don’t really need a huge screen just to play The Sims 2.
The only time the game is slow, is when you’re changing between different lots. Even then, it only takes about 20 seconds; which isn’t a lot compared to the 5 minutes it took on my first PC. Also, when you’re building things, it lags when you drag a wall, etc. They’re just little quirks, and they don’t really affect the game, overall.
If you’re hesitating on buying the MacBook because you’re going to leave some of your computer games behind, don’t. I’ve heard accounts of people running even World of Warcraft on their MacBook through Bootcamp, so you don’t really have to worry. However, if you’re a hardcore gamer, I suggest you buy a MacBook Pro. If you’re like me, and you only play computer games once in a while, then go for it! Don’t underestimate the integrated graphics card! It does it’s job pretty well, when we’re talking about The Sims 2.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Just a random section of this song that I’ve been listening to non-stop.
I never made promises lightly,
and there have been some that i have broken,
but i swear in the days still left
we will walk in fields of gold,
we will walk in fields of gold
The song is called _Fields of Gold_ by Eva Cassidy. You can find the video here.
