This blog is targeted to my peers... The "catch phrase" of this generation would probably have to be "Ohmygosh, my life totally sucks!" Reality check... your life doesn't suck. You should be thankful that you have food to eat, money to spend, and people who care about you. Compared to some people, you have life easy. Do you have to work countless hours to sustain your family? No. Do you have to wear the same shoes for over four years? No. Be thankful. Just because you're being drowned in science homework, doesn't exactly mean that your life sucks -- it just means that you have to work harder.
We take so many things for granted in our life -- the clothes on our back, the food in our stomachs, and the parents that love you unconditionally. Even if it seems like your parents hate you, they really love you, they just don't know how to express it. In some third-world countries, the children don't even get an education!
Then, you see people asking for things that they don't need. Do you really need like, a $400 dollar mobile phone? I understand the need for a mobile phone, but they don't have to be so advanced. Sure, I may seem to be a hypocrite because I bought a MacBook, but that was because I didn't have a functioning computer.
Have you noticed that teenagers are getting more and more melodramatic and angsty?
