Thundered

Ramblings of a Teenage Boy.

Nothing like cold water in the morning

So, this morning, when I tried to take a shower, the water was freezing cold. At first, I thought it was going to be warm, so I just jumped in the shower after waiting a few minutes for it to "heat up," and I was greeted with cold water. "HOLY CRAP." "WHO TURNED THE WATER HEATER OFF?" "MOOMMMMMMMMMMM" I was yelling my head off because it was really that cold. I ran all the way downstairs to see if the downstairs shower would work, but after five-minutes of waiting for it to heat up, it was still cold. Then, I ran back upstairs to see if the upstairs shower would work if I waited for a long time, but alas, it still didn't work. Don't worry though, I didn't go to school smelling like I just came out of a garbage dump -- in case you were concerned. I sprayed myself with an aerosol deodorant; they're bad for the environment, but I would consider this an emergency. Then, I dunked my head in the sink and washed my hair there. The water in the sink was still cold, but my dad came over and poured scalding hot water on my head. When he poured the hot water on my head, I reacted by raising my head up really quickly and thus hitting my head on the faucet. On the bright side, when I got back from school, my mom had put in a new water heater so I was able to take a shower without yelling curse words at the top of my lungs. Needless to say, March is not my month.
