Thundered

Ramblings of a Teenage Boy.

Life is formed by chance

Looking back on the things that have happened in my life, I've come to the conclusion that life is formed by chance. I've realized that one event may have triggered a whole lot of other events that have shaped who I am as a person. For example, on the first day in science class, I forgot to bring my new glasses, so I couldn't see as well. This made my science teacher assign me a seat next to my future best friend. Looking back, if I hadn't forgotten my new glasses, I probably wouldn't have become friends with her. She was the one who introduced me to a whole pool of kids from the different schools that I probably would have never met if not for her. If I hadn't talked so much in history class, I wouldn't have been moved next to another one of my future best friends. This is the one time my big mouth has been useful! Dice Another example, in my own life, is that one of my friends broke my arm in 6th grade. This made me unable to practice my clarinet, so my tone deteriorated. Then, when I went into 7th grade, I was placed as 11th chair out of 15. When my band director offered the chance to be in a jazz band, I was originally going to play piano, but he convinced me to switch to saxophone. If I hadn't switched to saxophone, what would my life have become? I would be a miserable band student, playing a instrument that he's horrible at. If my brother hadn't tried to commit suicide, I don't think I'd be the same person that you see today. I think I would be one of those typical 13-year olds, worried about if that one girl likes them or not. If that event hadn't happened, this blog probably wouldn't even exist! I originally created a blog to vent my feelings about my family, and it eventually evolved into what you see today. So, if you can remember, what is one event that has changed your life, and without it, you would be a totally different person?
