My brother recently bought a new router to replace the other one he bought 3 months ago. When he showed it to us, we all let out a huge groan, because every time he buys a new router, our internet always goes up and down, sometimes leaving us without internet for hours.
Before he set up this new router, I was browsing the internet at high speed with the 'old' router, and I didn't see why he wanted to buy a new one. So, while I was fixing the new layout for my website, my internet all of a sudden died on me, and I stomped over to my brother's room to see what the deal was. There he was, on the floor, fiddling with the new router.
"WHY DID YOU BUY A NEW ROUTER?!"
"Because, it was on sale!"
My brother and I suffer from the same problem. We always buy things on sale, even if we don't really need them. For me, I buy clothes that I don't need, but my brother on the other hand, buys useless technology things that we probably won't even use. Like, during Black Friday, he bought an uninterruptable power supply for his computer. His excuse was that "If we have an electrical surge, I don't want my computer to be fried!"

So, after he set up the new router, I had about five minutes of high speed internet browsing before my Airport lost the wireless signal.
"CHARLIE, THE INTERNET IS DOWN!"
"MACS SUCK!"
Fortunately, this morning when I turned on my MacBook, the wireless internet stayed on. Hopefully, it will continue to do so. Why can't he ever buy anything
useful? A new TV would be nice.
