My cell phone was recently involved in an epic battle, involving a washer machine. Needless to say, it lost.

I was just browsing the web and suddenly, my mom called me down and told me that my phone was "doomed" (sounded less dramatic in Chinese). She explained to me that I had left my phone in my pocket and she had put it into the wash. At first, I thought she was kidding because she was laughing, but

then I saw my phone, and it was all wet.
I always thought that my cell phone was indestructible. It survived many collisions with concrete, wooden floors, you name it. I even remember that it fell into a puddle of spit that was at the bottom of my saxophone (don't ask how). I got the phone from one of those free BOGO deals that Verizon was offering at the time. My dad got one and my mom got one, but then, my dad got a Blackberry because of his work so he gave me the phone.
When I got the phone from my mom, I tried turning it on and the first thing that I noticed was that there were some dead pixels on the screen.

Also, normally when you first turn on the phone, it has this welcome jingle, but this time, I couldn't hear it. As you could predict, I swore like a sailor. On the bright side, the phone was still able to receive text messages and it could call people, only I couldn't hear them talking back to me.
So, now I'm back to using my old blue phone which was once my brother's. I'm still transferring all the photos that I took on that phone to my backup phone, since I had all these pictures from the Rascal Flatts concert that I went to.

At least on August 22, I get to replace it with... *queue dramatic music* The Voyager.
What are some experiences that you've had with your cell phone?
