Quotes
I'm a sucker for a good quote (or a good song lyric). Quotes are a good way for you to connect with somebody elses' thoughts, and it allows you to really think about some situations. When I find a quote that I can relate to, my mind is opened up, and I find myself thinking about life in different ways. Here are some of my favorite quotes:To me, this quote is talking about laying all your dreams out onto the table, and taking chances. It may not end up the way you want it to, but at least you'll know that you've tried. Some people won't be considerate about what you believe in, and they'll walk over you, but in the end, you have to always keep on trying until you finally achieve what you've been fighting for."I have spread my dreams beneath your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams." -- W.B. Yeats
Another one of my favorite quotes! I can really relate to this quote, because it's talking about how if you have a dream, then instead of just sitting around and waiting for it to miraculously happen, you have to get up and go toward the direction of your dreams. No one is going to help you with your dream, so the only person you can rely on is yourself. Don't let anyone keep you down, and like the quote says "Live the life you have imagined.""Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." -- Henry David Thoreau
Well, I'm not exactly sure if John Legend came up with this quote, but he said it during one of his concerts, and it really made sense to me. Everyone is always trying to find that one person they can live with, but what about that person you can't live without? I never saw relationships in that light before, but now, I like at everything so much differently. Instead of going with that one person who is pleasant, and makes you feel relatively happy, why not go with the person that drives you insane, but is the one you can't live without?"Instead of finding someone you can live with, find someone you can't live without." -- John Legend
This quote comes from a song called "Wish You Were" on her CD Don't Look Away. This basically sums up everything for me. I always find myself being enamored in the form that I wish someone would take -- not who they actually are. I build them up to be someone that they're not, and when I finally figure out who they really are, I'm crushed. The fact is that I have to stop dreaming of what I wish someone is like, and actually see them for who they are -- whether it be horrible, nasty, or shallow. So, what are some quotes (or song lyrics) that you can relate to?"...I'm still in love with who I wish you were..." -- Kate Voegele, Wish You Were

Somehow… I don’t get your explanation of number one…
Number two is really what you should do. I mean… you have to do things. You can’t just sit around and wait for something to happen. Unfortunately such thoughts always make me feel like a failure…
Number three - isn’t that kinda hard?
Same thing on number four.

I heard of that #3 quote and I loved it!
The #4 quote comes across as a bit depressing to me.
I guess it’s something most of us do…

Hmmm wow I never thought of quotes like that and agree. Though, I kind of, I guess have a different take on song lyrics, I find that sometimes you find that a specific song lyric describes exactly how you feel at one point in your life or like your relationship with someone.. Just thought that I shared! ^^
I like your quotes. And agree with them. :)

I LOVE that Thoreau quote because it motivates me and reminds me that *I* am in control of my life. I’ve heard of the third one, but it doesn’t have that much of an impact on me. Other quotes I like include:
“There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.“ - Madeleine K. Albright
(Just replace “women” with “people.“ Or “men,“ if you’d like. :P)
“In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.“ - Coco Chanel

Flanagan Fun Run was awesome. I got three slices of pizza. =)
Anyways, the best quote for me is:
“: I’m sure thats important information. However at this conjuncture I cannot comprehend the semantics of that.“ Quote Someone. (Was it me?)
Best way to ignore someone.

=] I collect quotes too, in addition to the ones Peterson gave us.
“The world pulses when I am drunk! I face the irony of heaven and fate!
Drunk in this beautiful music, walking with the sound of joy in my steps.
In this dense night, all clamour vanishes, my tumultuous heart is also calmed in this embracing warmth.
Ah… Joy floods my my heart, intensifying until I cannot draw breath.“ -xXKanaChanXx (I dunno where that person online got it from. xD)
It’s really long. =] I just like the drunk part.

I love the second and third quotes. Here are a couple of my favourites that I can think of at the moment:
“There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.“
—Shakespeare (Julius Caesar)
“Life is something that everyone should try at least once.“
—Henry J. Tillman
“If you keep trying to be everything you’re not, you’re going to miss out on everything you were supposed to be.“
—Unknown

All those quotes are great.
I can’t think of any quotes that I can relate to, but there are a few songs.
