I have anxiety issues
I'm always nervous for some reason. When I go to school, I feel like I'm forgetting something at home. Today at school, one of my friends told me that I needed to bring my English textbook to school, and I totally freaked out. At my school, if you don't bring your required materials, the punishment is a paper pickup (picking up trash). I started panicking and yelling at the top of my lungs until I calmed down... for a little while. I'm a good kid! I've never done a paper pickup before, and I don't intend to. On the bright side, it turns out that I didn't even have to bring my English textbook. Something similar to this happened yesterday night too. I was just about ready to go to sleep, when I looked in my homework planner and I saw 'do exercises from science book.' I started freaking out then too. I forgot to do it! So, I ran over to my mom's computer, turned it on, and IMed one of my friends at 10:20 at night. Good thing that we didn't have to do it though. My science teacher just made a suggestion about doing those problems in the textbook before we had our winter break. I suppose being nervous is genetic. My mom gets really nervous too. I've always been a nervous kid, and according to this article on Yahoo!, supposedly, people who are constantly nervous are going to have heart problems. Oh boy... Well, I'll just add 'Not be so nervous' to my New Year's resolution list...This entry was posted on January 07, 2008 at 03:27 PM and is filed under Personal,.

I’m the same way! I get so freaked out if I forget my homework, or if I think that I’ll get in trouble… I woke up one night at about 2am, and it hit me that I forgot to do my math page - so I did it. =)
Although my science teacher like doesn’t care.

Being nervous can be good sometimes, it shows that you are aware of things around you. But don’t freak out too much =P think about what really makes you nervous - not that you forgot to do an exercise, but what part about forgetting to do it is it that makes you feel that way? Because you feel like you’ve done wrong? Because of the consequences, such as paper picking as you mentioned? Whatever it is, if its the consequences, then face -that- head on. Like… “hey paper picking isn’t a big deal, it’ll be a laugh for my friends to watch and then I’ll get them in trouble so they’ll join me”... haha well, depends how evil you are =P don’t worry yourself too much, theres so much more of life to come that’ll take up your time in worry =(

It seems like what you stress about the most is school - and you have every right to! That means you are very responsible with your schoolwork and you are very likely to do well. Of course, you can’t freak out TOO much, all the time (maybe once in a while :P) because you don’t want to die of a heart attack in your thirties, right? I hope you find ways to relax, that is of course, without neglecting you academic life. There are always going to be moments of tension, and every school year it will be more than the last one… just try to keep it in a healthy level, you don’t want to slack off either!
