I feel drugged

I feel drugged from all the cold medicine I've been taking lately. When my mom first approached me with that... yellow liquid, I took one look at it, and I felt I was going to puke. I have very bad memories regarding cold medicines -- especially those cough medicines that you have to drink. The moment I see a liquid cough medicine, I immediately recall the feeling that I have when swallowing the medicines, and I feel nauseous. Robitussin Today, before I went to school, my mom gave me a pill to help loosen the mucus that I had in my throat. It ended up making me feel dizzy all day, and I was really close to going to the school infirmary and going home. Heck, I walked into a pole during lunch because I was blowing my nose, and trying to make myself less dizzy. Is there a particular reason that cold medicine has to either A) taste horrible B) knock you out C) leave you with bad side effects? I swear, medicine companies must have board meetings about how to make people feel bad after taking their medicines. Sure, they may work well, but they are such a pain to take. I remember, when I was little, whenever my mom approached me with liquid cold medicine (especially Robitussin), I would run away from her. This one time, I even hid inside my closet so she wouldn't find me -- but she did, because apparently, my foot was sticking out of the closet. Now, excuse me while I go drink my heart out in cold medicine, in an attempt to make myself feel better.

I must be strange, because when I was little, I didn’t mind having cold medicine.  I’ve never had Robitussin, instead I drink the Asian herbal stuff.  I hate having a cold though, hope yours gets better soon!

Whenever I eat/drink Tylenol, I hallucinate and have mania.

    Fun.

Call me strange but I adore the-one-that-you-drink medicine. To the point that I would happily drink it even if I wasn’t ill.

Yeah… maybe because I’m never ill. Hope you get better soon, and look out for lamp-posts and other inanimate objects :P

I hate taking any kind of medicine. I’d rather take a needle any day instead of medicine, especially liquid medicine! I either get a) cramps, b) headaches, c) stomachaches, d) all of the above. It’s terrible, really. I hope you feel better soon! Having a cold is the worst because you never really know when you’re going to get any better.

Aww ): I’ve never really gotten any side effects from cold medicines. I’m actually quite taken with Robitussin- I love the taste!

I always ask my mom to buy the pills or tablets. Swallowing pills > Swallowing Bitter liquids. Anyways, I hope you feel better =D
