Ramblings of a Teenage Boy.

Holiday season

What do you do around Christmas time? The weeks before Christmas, I get all pumped up about Christmas by listening to Christmas songs and looking at all the Christmas decorations around my street. It's really amazing how some people spend so much time putting up Christmas Christmas Penguins #1decorations, but it looks really fantastic! I don't remember ever putting up Christmas decorations myself, but it's really nice looking at other peoples' decorations. My family never buys a Christmas tree, but we put all our gifts in a secret hiding place, and then on Christmas day, we have a little scavenger hunt to find the presents. It adds to the Christmas spirit! We also have stockings where we put little presents, like candy, cards to each other, etcetera. Christmas penguins #2 This year, I didn't have any money to buy gifts for my friends, so I just bought twenty Christmas cards from Borders and hand wrote a little paragraph to the person. I thought this would be a good idea, since everyone likes a hand-written letter. Oh, it also came in a nice penguin shape too. Also, this year is also the first year that I'm going to be at home! That may sound strange, but my family usually goes to a ski resort to spend Christmas. This year, we decided that we're just going to stay home and enjoy Christmas as a family. We've gone snowboarding for the past eight years, so this will be a nice change.

    How festive, I must say!

Even my neighborhood isn’t as into the whole Christmas spirit, but surely, we have the traditional Christmas tree (of which we’ve kept up all year, since we were all to lazy to take down), the traditional wrapping paper, and the traditional broken ornaments :P Surely, it would be great there was a change around here.  :P

    I’m liking the scavenger hunt.

    That’s nice :)

Before Christmas we like to decorate and stroll around town to see other people’s decoration. We do put up a Christmas tree though (a natural one that smells wonders! :D)

On the Christmas day itself, my sisters and I usually spend the morning with my mom, then the afternoon with my dad and paternal grandma (we usually just eat and sit around) and then we go back home to my mom and spend nice warm evening with Christmas music and tons of food, heh.
