Health goals for April
I decided on April 1st that I was going to do something different with my lifestyle the month of April. What brought on this epiphany? I guess my brother preaching about health all the time got to me... finally. What have I decided to do, you ask? I've decided to run a lap around the local lake everyday. That's about... two miles everyday. I plan to lose all the excess fat that I've gained from all the cheeseburgers and also lose the baby fat here and there. In addition to the running, I've also sworn off all junk foods -- including chips, cakes, etcetera (as of yesterday). My mom was lecturing me about how I'm already a few pounds underweight, but maybe I'll gain... muscle mass? XD Oh, and the biggest change of all? In the month of April, I'm going to try a vegetarian lifestyle. If I like it, I suppose I'll just stick to being vegetarian for as long as I can after that. I was thinking about it the other day, and for example... when you're eating a chicken, you're like, 'forking' the chicken. How would you feel is someone stuck a fork in you? I've never been much of a meat-eater in the first place, so this won't be that hard. What will be hard, is to ignore my friends waving bacon in front of my face. Bacon is one of my vices. This entry was posted on April 06, 2008 at 04:48 PM and is filed under Personal,.

I was a vegetarian for a year once. Big mistake for me since I love meat, but since you said you’re not much of a meat eater, you shouldn’t have too much of a problem. I think they might make vegetarian bacon, so if you like it that much, just look for the fake bacon in stores ;)
Oh and I suggest to eat lots of peanut butter! I forget what’s in it that makes it good for vegetarians, but I do know it’s good.
Good luck with losing weight :)

Good luck with it. I have wanted to be a vegetarian since last year, but my parents won’t allow me. As for protein, you can get that from milk and eggs, since you’re not going entirely vegan.

Good Luck!
I should do the same. =)

Pills! Oh no, don’t do that. Don’t rely on pills even if they’re supplements. But then I suppose I’ve just got this thing against pills.
Eat tofu for protein (I think). Don’t they say that tofu is like vegetarian chicken or something? And you’re giving up BACON. Baaacon.
At least you’re going for the healthy approach in losing baby fat (though I don’t think it’s all that lose-able) and not eating like a celery stick a day.

That’s a nice goal for the month! I hope you can get complete it without breaking it :) I’ve been a vegetarian for a couple of months and it feels great, I think you are going to like it - unless of course, you just lurv teh bakonz.

I’ve been meaning to run 2 miles everyday (or, more realistically, 4-5 days a week) and go vegetarian (although, the closest I’ve come to vegetarian is purchasing tofu cheese…)!
Aren’t there protein supplements at your local health store? And peanuts, almonds, cashews seem to be a given, since they’re an alternative to meat by providing protein.
Be wary of friends offering you $5 churros at Disneyland! And good luck :)

O:
I should do that. :P
But not the diet thing. xD I can’t survive without meat. D;
You won’t last a day at disney. The veggies there are like… re-heated stuff. o-o Not bad, but still. MEAT! :D

Yes, I should really do the same, except the whole vegetarian part. I just don’t think I would last long with that. But I do believe I need to exercise more and eat better.
Good luck!

soymilk! 8D

Merry, he’s turning vegetarian, not vegan! But soymilk is always good stuff.
Thank goodness you’re Asian so you won’t have to get used to tofu.
I wouldn’t worry about the food at Disney.
There’s pretty good pasta that I’ve eaten at Disney last year.

^ You are one craaaaazy kiddo.
I could easily give up meat, but never junk food.
LOL. Junk food is my HUGEST vice.
Which explains why I’m eating ice cream @ 11. *Sigh*
When I went to Disneyland, I mostly ate junk food.
