Thundered

Ramblings of a Teenage Boy.

Goodbye Charlie

My brother is finally going back to college! Can anyone give me a hallelujah? HALLELUJAH. After eight months of being at home, he's finally going back. I'm not going to go into details about why he hasn't been in college, but he's finally going back! I thought I would be sad about his departure but... I'm not. Yesterday, I was having a hard time getting to sleep. To make it worse, at 3 o'clock in the morning, he burst into my room, carrying a huge flashlight, and felt the need to shine it on my face. "WHERE'S THE OTHER WII CONTROLLER?!" "In the bag, downstairs. *exhausted*" "I CAN'T FIND IT!" "Arghhhhhhhhh" After pulling myself out of bed, I had to trek downstairs, point to the bag, and give him a bad look. If looks could kill, he'd be dead long ago. To explain things, my brother is like a leech. A leech that sucks money and energy out of our parents. It makes me sick, watching them buy my brother things he doesn't need. My brother works, and yet, my parents still have to pay for the gas in his car, his protein shakes, etcetera. All the money he's made from working has been put into useless things, like an uninterruptable power supply. Well, I'm glad he's finally leaving. I can finally sleep!

    HA!

So that’s why you couldn’t fall asleep until 3 a.m….

Wow… You must hate your bro… I thought you’d still be in good terms. :D

LIke me and my sissy. :]

    That’s cruel of you! lol

I think you’ve made yourself clear stating how much you disagree with most of your brother’s behavior, but I think it’s a little harsh to be so happy about him leaving. It’s good that he’s going back to college though, that shows some responsability from his side, maybe he’ll graduate being a better and improved man. I hope all of this is for the best of him, and at least you get some peace around the house. I hope you didn’t go saying to his face how happy your were about him leaving, hah.

Your brother reminds me of my cousin (who lives with me). Except, with my cousin, he clogs the toilet that we share, is 18 and has no intentions on moving out until he is thrown out. (It has been the topic of conversation at the dinner table a few times)

Im not sure why I just shared that all with you, but that usually happens when I’m reminded of something irrelevant.

Haha, a little hate? Its alright though, at least you will be happier.

Hope you can get to sleep now :)

Your brother sounds like one of the people who doesn’t seem to take much control of his own life, rather having many people’s help in his own living. His actions mainly benefit himself.

The story of him waking you up is quite funny from outsiders POV, but it must have sucked for you =(

Maybe college will get him back into shape, meet some people, have incentive to do something?

    Sleep well tonight =D

    Take care
