Early birthday present part 2

As some of you may recall, my friend Juan dropped off his birthday present for me a few days ago, and told me to wait until my birthday (which is today, by the way). I was so curious to find out what was inside, I waited until 12 AM last night to open it and I was surprised by what was inside... The unwrapping process... Unwrapping I had trouble taking the tape off since it was wrapped around the box... Tape and I don't mingle well. Unwrapping It kind of looked like the wrapping that my MacBook came in... This was the card that I wrote for Juan back during his birthday. He cut and pasted it onto the front of my birthday card. I was reading it, trying to figure out why it seemed so familiar and then I came to the bottom which said "Recognize this Alex?" XD For a second there, I thought that he had actually written that all by himself. I have fangsI have fangs in the picture... I would say that I'm a vampire, but wouldn't that go against the whole "vegetarian" thing? Inside the card, there were all these pictures of me, arranged in a sort of "collage" manner with little captions underneath. This was the only one of the pictures in which I didn't look like an idiot. Cameras don't seem to like me. Frown Here's an overview of the card. If you were wondering why one of the pictures is blurred out, it's because it showed me with a very unflattering facial expression. I really like the card... just not the pictures that he chose to include in them. ;) Cameras and I just don't interact very well -- unless I'm the one using it. Well, I originally wanted world peace for my birthday... but this is better! It's really quite shocking to see how much effort Juan put into my card since he's normally a lethargic person. It shows that there's a kind heart... deep... deep... down inside of him. :) It was actually the best birthday present that I received from anyone this year -- it beats the Sony Cybershot hands down (it was a close race). This shows that a great present doesn't have to expensive and fancy. So, what did you get for your birthday that you really liked?

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!

I love getting cards with super long messages in them, it shows how much effort the person actually put into the gift. :)

    Juan is an awesome friend!

Oh wow! That was incredibly sweet and kind of Juan. I can’t even image getting such a well thought out birthday card (or a card for any occasion, really) from anyone I know.

It is thirty-four minutes past midnight here. So, I guess I have to add the “belated” part.

    HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

    Aww, that’s so sweet.

It makes me feel bad for never thinking outside the box when I buy presents.

I have a friend who looks good in all her pictures. I don’t know how she does it. Even in candid shots. It’s like she has a camera radar built into her brain.

hope you had a great birthday! what a sweet present. One of my favourite birthday presents has to be a book my boyfriend made for me on my 16th birthday! That was 2 years ago, eep!

I’ve definitely never received anything that thoughtful on my birthday, and that really shows how good of a friend Juan is. I think mine was my wool winter coat I got last year for my 16th birthday. It’s very warm, very nice, and it will last for many cold winters to come!
