Burnt Plastic Smells Bad
bq. Alex was almost asleep, when he heard a hair-dryer go on. His mom was sleeping downstairs tonight, so it couldn't be her. Could it be... a ghost? He was too scared to enter his parents' master bedroom, so he instead ran downstairs and started knocking on his mom's door. She told him that it was just his brother's computer which is on 24/7, but I still thought otherwise. The noise was definitely coming from the master bedroom. Alex's heart was beating at a wild pace as he slowly tip-toed into the room. The noise was definitely coming from the hair dryer. His mom had heard it too, so she came upstairs and turned on the lights. The hair dryer was on, even though the switches were flipped to off. His mom tried to turn the hair dryer off, but couldn't, so she resorted to unplugging the hair dryer. The hair dryer was half burned and the room was filled with smoke, and a burnt plastic smell. Finally, after careful inspection, my mom realized that water had dripped onto the power cord that connected to the hair dryer, and must've done something weird to the power. I had just finished watching a Chinese horror movie called _Don't Open Your Eyes_, so I was pumped from the adrenaline was already circulating through my blood system anyways. We had to open all the windows, as well as put two fans in the master bedroom, just to clear out the burnt plastic smell. This entry was posted on July 19, 2007 at 06:11 PM and is filed under Personal,.
