Ramblings of a Teenage Boy.

A picnic

There was relatively nice weather today -- sunny, not a cloud in sight, and the smoke from all the California wildfires was kept at bay by the breeze (or so the guy on the radio said). The company that my dad works for, Mozes decided to hold a picnic to celebrate the launch of their new project, Mozes Connect. It's pretty cool, but that's another blog, for another day. ;) My dad came back home at around 2 PM to pick me up to take me to the picnic. We were greeted with a wide open green field, lots of food, and a huge inflatable jumping house. Oh, and you can't forget the mass of little teeny weeny babies that my dad's coworkers brought along with them. Needless to say, I felt old amongst them; less energetic and less happy. Frown Basically, for the whole picnic, I stood around, shaking hands with people (my hand is tired), and Flower taking pictures with my new Sony Cybershot. It was relaxing and interesting at the same time because I got to sit around, read books, and fiddle with the different settings in my camera. Little boy with super soaker There were a bunch of Super Soakers that people brought for the kids to play with, and one of my dad's coworker's son picked up a Super Soaker and aimed it at me. He stayed still long enough for Cakeme to take the picture and then he shot me with it. At the end, the caterers brought out a huge cake with 'Congratulations Mozes Connect' frosted onto it, and the cake was so big, I'm pretty sure that by the end of the picnic, it still wasn't finished.
