Thundered

Ramblings of a Teenage Boy.

A day with my dad

I usually don't spend time with my dad, but today, all of a sudden he asked me to go shopping with him, so I thought 'Hm, okay.' We went to a book store called Half Price Bookstore and obviously, I bought books. You wouldn't expect a half-priced store to have a wide variety of books, but this one actually had recent books; I wonder how they even make profit.

Here are some of the books I bought:
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy
  • Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
I was planning on buying the entire Chronicles of Narnia series, but my dad put his foot down because I could just borrow them from the local library. It was strange because one half of the bookstore was current, and the other half was like walking down Memory Lane. The other side of the bookstore had things like Atari gaming systems, vinyl records, cassette tapes, and even out-dated computer games. It made me really open my eyes to how fast technology has improved over the years -- from large vinyl records to small iPods.
