Alarm clocks… a thing of the past

Why do you need an alarm clock when you can have sparrows (or some other type of bird) squawking your ear off at 6 in the morning? A group of sparrows have conveniently decided to nest next to my bedroom window, so early in the morning, I awake to the sounds of excited birds chirping at each other and flying around my window. I suppose this is a good thing, since lately, I've been staying up to read books for English, and I tend to sleep through my alarm clock. I'm not exactly sure what type of bird is nesting next to my window, but I'm just going to assume that they're sparrows. I would give you guys some clues to help me figure out what type of bird is nesting outside my window, but I'm too lazy to go outside and look at the birds. All I know is that they build their nests out of a gray material that looks like clay. The worst things about these birds is that they're seasonal. They only nest in two houses in the whole neighborhood -- one being mine, and the other being my next door neighbor's. Every year, after the baby sparrows have hatched and left the nest, it is my job to hose down the nests and it's not a fun job. It's really bad in the summer, because ants seem to be attracted to the nests and they crawl up the wall. Sometimes, the ants take a detour and decide to look inside my room. I suppose they're attracted to me because I'm sweet. ;) No, I'm just kidding. I usually have to spend the summer evenings armed with an ant-killer spraying around in my room. I've tried making them go away, but they insist on coming back to that same place next to my window year after year. My mom just told me to let it be and just deal with the grievances that come with having birds as your neighbors. To people at school... If I come to school looking like I had four hours of sleep, I probably did thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Bird. I can't wait until the Little Bird pops out... *sarcasm*
