About Me
My name is Alex, and I was born on July 3rd, 1994 (which makes the fourteen years old, for those math impaired). I love music, and I play five instruments — alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, clarinet, piano, and am currently self-teaching myself the flute. I’m also an eighth grader as of Fall of 2007.
I currently own a plethora of gaming systems which consist of: a Gamecube, a Wii, a Gameboy (original, no colour), a Gameboy Colour, a Gameboy Advance, and a Playstation Portable. I always buy the new gaming systems, but I lose interest in them a few weeks after I get them — it’s one of my defining qualities.
I currently live with my parents and my older brother Charlie in a cozy home in California. I come from a small family, consisting of: two parents, one brother, four grandparents, and four cousins. My parents both hail from the Hunan province of China, but I don’t have any relatives in the USA.
I consider myself a down-to-earth suburban person, but sometimes I do get a bit big-headed. People tell me that I have a tendency to tell people what’s wrong with them — which gets me into a lot of trouble sometimes. Hey, I’m a brutally honest person; if there’s a zit on your nose, I’ll probably be the first to mention it.

Fears
There are some things in this world that just really freak me out. I will either, a) run around screaming or b) be sent into a hysterical state in which my speech is slurred and my face is red. The biggest fear that I have is one of spiders. I’m not sure what it is that makes me so scared of them, but they just creep me out. I suppose it’s something about their eight legs… and eight eyes. Once, when I was out with my fellow Cub Scouts , we went to an animal store and when we were forced to touch the tarantula, I fainted.
I also suffer from an almost insignificant case of agoraphobia. By almost insignificant, I mean that I’m scared of large expanses of things like, a desert, the ocean, or the sky (when I’m up in a plane). The thought of being lost in the ocean just makes me have an anxiety attack.
Strangely enough, I also suffer from claustrophobia. Trap me in a closet, and I will freak out. This makes long car rides and plane rides really difficult for me.
