Trying to Find My Way

bq. Alex's eyes widened. "This is your room?" "Yeah," Juan replied, giving Alex a strange look. Alex started feeling nauseous as he tried to find his way across the mess that was his room. His room was filled with boxes of useless stuff, as well as school projects dating back to the third grade. "Remind me, why am your friend again?" Alex said jokingly. Juan laughed a little and then shrugged. "Remind me to help you clean your room one day." JuanAfter going to my friend's house today, I've realized how thankful I am to have been raised in a household where, if you didn't clean your room, you got grounded. I remember one time, I went to Erik's house once, and the moment I walked into his room, I asked his mom if she had a Swiffer duster. I'm just that nice a person. ;) I've decided to also start a free domain contest. This won't be a contest of people voting though. This will be a contest of my own preference. I decide who gets the domain. You will increase your chances of getting the domain if you fit these requirements:
  1. You don't use copy-righted images on your layouts. This includes celebrity images. They do not belong to you, so don't use them.
  2. You have a website which is validated in XHTML 1.0 and you have valid CSS.
  3. Your website layout doesn't burn my retinas, A.K.A, you don't have a web layout with red, yellow, and neon green all at the same time.
  4. You don't use iFrames.
  5. You don't have annoying blogs which complain about the number of comments you get.
  6. If you already have a domain, do not apply.
I will also host your domain. To submit your website for this contest, email me and state your website URL. I've decided to start this contest because there are talented web designers who are hosted on subdomains, and deserve a domain. I've recently noticed that the quality of domains are going down. Domains used to be something that people had to work to get, but now, anyone who has access to their parents' credit card can buy one.

Adventures in Bowlingville

bq. Alex walked hesitantly into the Cloverleaf Bowling Alley. "You know guys, I haven't bowled for real before. Only Wii bowling." Charlie laughed as they got in line to get shoes. When they had finally gotten an alley, Alex was set to bowl fourth. As each of the different bowlers took their turns, Alex got increasingly nervous. His palms had gotten all sweaty and his heart was pounding. Finally, it was his turn to go up, so he took a ball, not aware that his fingers were too big for the holes. Then, Alex took the plunge and threw the bowling ball. The ball went flying up in the air, and landed in...another person's lane. Alex's face quickly turned a shade of red that you probably couldn't find in a Crayola crayon box. "Be more careful," said the alley owner. Alex quickly nodded as he sat back down, holding his head down. Yeah, that's classic Alex for you guys. :) This all just had to happen on Friday the 13th. I'm one superstitious Athiest. :) Random factoid: Paraskavedekatriaphobia is the fear of the number thirteen.
